Oh boy. Yes. I have been diagnosed with a disorder Functional Neurological Disorder FND. I am now close to being pretty much house bound. This disorder makes me fall (twice this year) even though I use a walker. My brain causes me to fall backwards so I hit my head and hurt my jaw joint.
I have double vision, tremors when I’m anxious and a whole host of other problems.
Arthritis, fibromyalgia, and polyneuropathy are the icing on my cake.

I live alone.
I’ve lined up a network of help. My food is delivered from the grocery store. My house gets cleaned every month. My neighbors roll my trash cans down the driveway to the street.
My hair stylist comes to my house.
My friend calls me every night to check on me. My son lives near by if I need help around the house.
I keep busy with jigsaw puzzles, painting, and building my family tree on Ancestry.

I am as well as I can be at almost 77.

I forgot to add, I live in a Condo so all the outdoor stuff is taken care of.

Sounds like a great list. Grocery/package delivery was a game changer for me. I thought it would be more complicated. As for neuropathy, keep wiggling those fingers and toes and building muscle strength.

Off topic but per your post, if you are into genealogy, try Geni. It has a free level and has a lot of active groups and ways to collaborate on shared lines. The paid level lets you make more changes to more profile - although there is a free work around but takes longer with more steps. Unlike the others like Ancestry, Geni is trying to make 1 world tree, not isolated branches. So most have a private tree somewhere else to work on and then put confirmed entries at Geni. That way if multiple people have differing data on a family, they can work together to resolve it. I have found out about many 2nd or 3rd marriages that way as well as additional siblings and children. Especially going backward when parentage info is shaky. Plus they now have so many entries that it typically only takes 4 to 5 generations to then link up to all of the past.
