I have multifocal adenocarcinoma lung cancer, which was found in Oct, 2024. The first surgery was on 3/4/2025 to remove two nodules on right lung, then the 2nd surgery on 1/15/2026 to remove one nodule on left lung. They were all Stage 1a1 with EGFR mutation, no other treatments were needed.

I had a CT scan on 8/6 which was part of my routine six-month follow-up. They found a new ground glass airspace opacity along the peripheral aspect of the anterolateral left lower lobe portion more consolidative. I have to do another CT scan in three months to see how it changes. Waiting three months to find out what is going on is driving me crazy.

Hello Helen,
Hugs… I remember you were concerned with having this scan, and I’m very sorry that it showed this new issue, and yes, waiting another 3 months is crazy making !
You have been through so very much already, I’m sorry you are going through even more.
Here’s a reminder of what I do incase you are having those “what if fears” creeping in, I remind myself I’ll cross that bridge when and if I have too, and take a lot of deep breaths.
Know too that I’m sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.
Huge hugs Helen 🤗 Daisy

@hch559 apologies - we had chatted before about having multifocal lung cancer. I can empathize with how stressful the watchful waiting can be. you could ask your care team if the new opacity becomes malignant, what their treatment plan/options would be. I'm sure after 2 lung surgeries you aren't eager to sign up for another one.
