Insurance company is denying Evenity

It’s just crazy that you either need to fracture or have worse numbers to get a drug that can help build bone. My hope was that if I did Evenity I’d get pushed back into osteopenia and then do a year of a biophosonate and hopefully have a drug holiday. If this doesn’t work out then I’m going to contact midi health and look into HRT. Maybe that’ll help keep things stable for a while. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Health care (Doctors) protocol weigh out the risk/benefit of treatment. They don’t want to over treat or under treat…provided they are an experienced doctor who cares about their patients and are willing to go to bat for you.
From what I’ve read HRT could be an option for individuals with numbers closer to osteopenia …many other factors…I would ask what other patients they have had and what were their numbers …what were the improvements in patient cases similar to you.
