I was initially on 15mg which decided to split 10 mg in morning and 5 mg evenings. Response was a bit slow possible because I was wrongly prescribed enteric coated prednisolone. This is not absorbed in the stomach and therefore took 10 hours to kick in!. Rheum increased to 20 mg (this time non EC pred) which I split 10 mg and 10 mg. Pain resolved completely over 2 weeks. I then tapered to 15mg split 10 and 5 mg. Mild pain in right shoulder recurred at about 2-2.5/10. I.e. tolerable on my personal pain scale. After 2 weeks I again tapered to 12.5 mg and am again getting morning shoulder pain 3-4/10. Meanwhile the quite bad groin (hip) pain seems to have completely resolved. Fingers crossed.
