For 4 years I had the steriod shots in my spine L3-L5 about every 10 months. That is when it wore off. Last year I had the steriod shot but it did not help at all. My condition got worse. My only real relief would be surgery. But due to my other health problems that is not an option. 2 of my other doctors would not clear me for the surgery.
This year my pain med Doc said the next option is the RF Ablation of the nerve. I did that in April and it worked pretty good relieving the back pain. I do not have pain down the legs. But it is starting to wear off. I made an appoint with the PA to see if I can do another ablation.

@peter51f Thank you for your information. It sounds like the ablation only lasted 4-5 months? Is there surgery involved in the ablation?
