The longest I can get by without a leak is three days any longer and I have a problem.
This all began when the surgeon did the second surgery due to a prolapse on the other half of my intestine. It pushed through the stoma hole and caused a problem. The surgeon removed about 9” of intestine and sewed it to the stoma intestine. I have a little gully now in with my stoma intestine and the leak emanates from that intestine. Tried everything and also working with the WOCN. It looks like I’m doomed to changing every 3 days.
As far as the back up problem I have to make sure I use the deodorant liquid every time I drain and that helps. Makes things a little watery but at least it’s moving down.

@pidge32 I'm sorry to hear that you are not getting the wear time you would like. I change every four days, but sometimes it's every three days. I know some people get a lot longer wear time, but I am never going to be one of them.

The main thing is if it is predictable. If you can change every three days and not experience leaks, then that sounds like a good result.
