Priming Tymlos pen?

@alidamc Are you using the word "priming" correctly? Priming simply means that you are shooting ONE 80 mcg full dose of the Tymlos med into the air ONE TIME, before that pen's first injection. After that, you twist the dial all the way to the 80 mcgs and inject each morning. For that one and only initial priming (aka squirting the medicine into the air), you should flick the cartridge with your finger to raise any air bubbles to the top. Do not unnecessarily squirt anymore medicine into the air to waste it. That is a one and done move for each pen. If for some reason you think you screwed up that one time priming when you first pull the pen out of the box, there are actually seven extra doses in each pen for "mess-ups," so you can immediately shoot a second priming dose into the air, before completing your first injection. If you happen to see some air bubbles later during the month, that's absolutely fine. I'm not following how you can twist the green knob at the end to load a dose and shoot it in the air, but twisting the green knob every day to inject into the belly does not work. How does the pen know to work, when shooting into the air vs skin/fat? If this is really happening, contact yoir pharmacy ASAP to report a defective pen. Is it the Indian or the arrow?!?!? 😉 Good luck!!

@cathyf31 my Tymlos pen only works from the priming mode. It never switched to a number. I called the Tymlos Clinical educator, but my registration has gone through yet. I did that last night. I had to leave a callback number, so now I am waiting to hear from the specialty pharmacist.
They will probably want me to come see them.
The whole thing is a hassle.
