Littleoaks, I suggest you prepare well for any psychedelic drug experience.

Psychedelics can dissolve the sense of separation between you and anything/everything.
This can be beautiful when your environment is peaceful and loving.
But if your environment is harsh or violent, you may not be able to distinguish yourself as separate from what is happening around you.

I've found that the meditation books of Thich Nhat Hanh help me to have a sense of myself in the world similar to my best psychedelic drug experiences. They are good, simple meditation practices. I suggest you start there.

If you decide to try psilocybin you may find having practiced grounding meditations helpful.

Please don't do "social" or "party" tripping.

Thank you, Ed, for caring enough to caution me regarding the use of psilocybins. I've been studying the recent medical uses for them regarding PTSD and am a long-time spiritual student and practicer of yoga and Eastern philosophy. I've followed various spiritual teachers including T.N.H., and have read multiple descriptions of others' psychedelic experiences. If you want to discuss further, we could message in a more private venue. I don't know if you are local in Los Alamos or somewhere else, but regardless, thanks for your input.
