I am 91 with 3A kidney disease. It is slowly dropping 52-51-now50.9. Oncologist strongly recommended I hydrate more so I am drinking water 20 oz 3 times a day. Ok during day but I get up about 6 times at night to pee Other than a bag is there an alternative? JackB

@05271935 Decreasing water intake starting earlier in the evening and limiting diuretics such as beer (alcohol) should decrease the night visits. Although vitamin B complex can turn urine a bit yellow for a while, urine color should be pale yellow. Having darker yellow in morning is fine, just hydrate then. Check with your doctor on how much to hydrate (one can drink too much water). Also, are there dietary changes that can help your numbers (are your bloodwork calcium, potassium, and phosphorous within limits?). A salty diet is also not recommended because the sodium can result in fluid retention (edema).
