@californiazebra Sorry for the confusion. I meant that because of my prior history of reflux (GERD), I would not want to take Fosamax or any of the oral bisphosphonates. I believe they can cause a flare up of reflux symptoms so want to avoid that. My reflux symptoms were coughing and difficulty swallowing so there's no way I want to return to those problems. Those symptoms eventually improved and I no longer take medication for it. My go-to treatment for reflux was a supplement called L-Glutamine which I took faithfully for years. Learned about it from Dr. Sherry Rogers, an integrative health doctor.
If you chose a bisphosphonate, I think oral would be safer because it's not as intense a dosage as the infusion forms like Reclast or Zometa.
