5 weeks on Prednisolone initially 15 mg bumped up to 20 for 2 weeks. Now tapered to 12.5 about 2 days ago and peripheral neuropathy in both feet and calfs. Type 2 DB unlikely. I suspect side effect from pred or from the withdrawal, including some arrhythmia and low BP. PMR symptoms in shoulders still there till morning dose kicks in. But tolerable. Hips now free from pain but neuralgia makes for a wobbly gait.

I still have peripheral neuropathy. I suspect it is a side effect from prednisone. It is called idiopathic since nobody knows why I have peripheral neuropathy. I only know that I could feel the numbness and tingling creep up from my feet and gradually clear up to above my knees during the time I took prednisone. My arms were checked and I also had peripheral neuropathy in my arms but I didn't know that I did.

Five years ago when I tapered off prednisone, the sensation of numbness crept back down my legs slowly. I still have some numbness and tingling in my feet but not any higher than my ankles. I would say my peripheral neuropathy has improved since prednisone was discontinued.
