Priming Tymlos pen?

I messed up with the instructions so in order to give myself an injection, I have to start in the primer every time. So far, so good. No side effects. Almost one month on Tymlos. I hate having osteoporosis but it’s either taking the medication or breaking bones and crushing vertebrae doing the slightest things.

@alidamc
If you are “starting” the primer every time you go to inject yourself by pushing the injector with your thumb all the way till it stops…you are also ejecting the Tymlos dose.

You will have used up all of your Tymlos in 15 days approximately rather than the 30 days you need for each box of Tymlos. That is a very expensive use of it…just priming the pen is to remove the air between the liquid and the needle on the first use of the pen only…very rarely do you need to do this more than once…call your Tymlos nurse and tell them you may have a defective pen.

@alidamc, it sounds like a defective pen. Osteopatient26 has the best advice. I'd just tell them that the pen is defective.
Are you thinking that it works at full dose and so you'd take it every other day?
I've heard (on site) of other people with defective pens. They get replacement pens quickly.
