Because of my own "GERD" and various discomfort over the past 10 years and my attempt to observe myself, I firmly believe anxiety has a lot to do with my gastro problem ( per the brain - GI linkage) also simple behavioral changes that might alleviate symptoms such as posture. 10 years of slumping when eating could not help. Drinking enough water helps alleviate griping pain, bloating. Walking after eating rather than lying down is a change that requires willpower.

You’ve obviously spent a lot of time over these 10 years noticing what makes a difference for you. It sounds like posture, drinking enough water and walking after meals are some things you’ve found helpful.

Are you still having symptoms that you’re trying to get better control of, or have those changes made things pretty manageable for you?
