@blm1007blm1007 Hi Barbara, I probably don't need omega 3 since I consume so much salmon, tuna, nuts, and chia seeds but I have it on hand if I don't feel like I'm getting enough in any given week. NMN and NR are precursors to NAD. NAD is used to keep cells healthy and energetic. This is a gross oversimplification. I like reading the research on the metabolic pathways and NMN or NR is really interesting in getting our NAD levels up. That said, if you just read some of the study results (minus the metabolic chemistry) it sure is interesting. We lose NAD rapidly as we age which explains why NMN and NR studies do not show benefits or at least not in short time periods for the young, healthy study participants (though body builders have been consuming for years). If you google NMN or NR there's a lot of information online. I really don't know anything about MAAC10 other than what was shared on a post from 2023(?). I just entered "NMN" on the Mayo Clinic Connect "SEARCH" and it came up. If taken 1/day, it only contains 150 mg and the studies I'm reading suggest that's too low a dose to get measurable improvement in strength and energy. Though the ingredients are intriguing and will take a closer look one of these days. I did message my NJH ID doctor that I was taking NMN and other supplements, but I doubt she will offer any advice on it. Also, beware of supplements and make sure the brands are 3rd party tested and don't contain unnecessary fillers. We are getting rain here and the AQI has been much better this week. Thank you about my siblings. I come from a family of doctors. I was the black sheep and studied Chemical Engineering.

@kathyjjb Oh B3, Niacin and Niacinamide. I haven't taken either the Niacin or Niacinamide in a long time.
I didn't fully understand all about them, especially Nicotinamide until just looking all up after reading your reply. How I knew about the two had to do with my Mother's educating herself in the '40's about nutrition and eventually supplements. My Mom introduced my siblings and I to vitamin supplements and good nutrition.
I remember doing the niacin and the flush that would happen, but not so with the niacinamide.
Now I know a bit more about them. Thanks. You probably grasp onto all of that chemical scientific info fairly quickly....Ms. Chemical Engineer. Not so shabby yourself and certainly right up there with the others in the family.
Yes look out for fillers. not only in supplements. So many pharmaceutical medications have sodium bases in them and that turns my electrolytes upside down.
Lucky you to have some rain. Very dry in OKC and very hot.
Wishing you a good nebulizing session this evening !!!!
