I appreciate your response to my question. I will get busy and get my thigh muscles shaped up. Have been working out at the club. I am sure the fluid you have in your knee is causing the stiffness. I would recommend you see an ortho doctor at Twin City Orothopedic in Edina MN. I do not know your location so that may be too far a distance to drive, but there is always the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN where I am sure they could take care of the fluid. Both places have excellent reputations for patient care. Good luck to both of us.

@kellihergirl that's a great idea about building up your thigh muscles ahead of time. My problem was that I moved to Florida and I'm living in a one level house. My old house had three floors so I was constantly up and down the staircase which kept my leg muscles in great shape. But five years of living in Florida in a one level house has taken its effect on my muscle tone. We have a new gym that's opening this week in my city and I fully intend on joining and trying to get my core muscles and leg muscles back to where they should be. Good luck with your surgery I hope everything works out well for you!
