Women’s health care has been neglected writ large. I have had to work very hard to get past the anger I first felt when originally diagnosed; then the frustration of the medical model for prescribing designer drugs that fail to provide a long term solution for many people. Maybe a silver lining in all of this is that women are becoming more proactive in their approach to their overall health and longevity. I know my daughter and her friends have benefited mightily from my experience and my hope is this next generation coming up will be much better informed at an earlier age thereby avoiding what many of us experienced. For now, we simply march on and do the best we can to help each other.

@lhankins Yes. My daughters and nieces are all aware of how they can avoid the same fate as us. I am optimistic that future generations will have better options than us. That's the only bright spot. As for us....well, we just do the best we can with the hand we've been dealt.
