@singingbones, I am glad to hear that you're doing weights too. I think resistance training is going to help us. Our respective experience tell us that we need to educate ourselves, be our own advocates, and always remain vigilant. My oncologist will not allow me to take HRT because I had breast cancer in 2000, and the accompanying rapid loss of estrogen led to my osteoporosis. I can't take Evenity or any of the drugs that increase the risk for vascular diseases (Evista, Duavee) because of a strong family history of vascular disease. I can no longer take any of the antiresorptive medicine because of my 11.5 years of being on alendronate, and Tymlos resulted gave me such bad side effects that I no longer want to go back to it or even try Forteo. I won't do Prolia because I have no exit strategy for it. Thus, I am hoping my approach will keep me active and fracture-free (I have no illusion of totally reversing my osteoporosis).
