I, too, was hit with Graves Disease in my 40's. Threw me into early menopause. After being over medicated, I, also went into remission. Now, at 77 yrs, I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thryoiditis/Hypothyroidism my Internist. I'm really confused because I am not gaining weight... Instead, I am LOSING WEIGHT like crazy. Does anyone else have substantial weight loss with their Hashimoto's Thryoiditis/Hypothyroidism? I'm beginning to wonder if I have been diagnosed correctly. Otherwise, I do have the classic symptoms. Appreciate any comments.

@h16027 I have had Hashimoto's for many years. Runs in the maternal side of my family. I have had weight gain but also weight loss. It has gone back and forth for me. Hopefully you are going to an Endocrinologist because my experience is that they know more about what is going on. I am now 75.
