What do you feel has helped you deal with the pain most effectively, loonylady, if even for short periods?

As strange as it sounds. I haven’t been able to determine what activates the pain and a good way to deal with it. Many times when my back hurts, I just keep moving and walking as the pain often lessens or even goes away. If that doesn’t work, I just sit for a bit as sitting doesn’t normally hurt.
