I wanted to update: he had another followup with a slight decrease to 2.3 CM. The pulmonologist scheduled a bronchoscopy for Fri to see what is going on. She said if this was infectious afterall, it should've cleared up or close to it by now and believes something underlying is there. She said the reason for the slight decrease is that she does believe he had pneumonia, and that's what we were seeing with the decrease, but whatever this is, it's being stubborn. If malignant, she believes that it could easily be surgically removed.

@ashscott1012 let us know what you learn with the bronchoscopy. sending good thoughts for you and your husband.

@ashscott1012 , it sounds like this is the best plan, and hopefully you will have an answer from the bronchoscopy. The procedure is generally well tolerated and fairly quick. Most of us here have had at least one.
Hoping that you have some conclusive answers soon.
