I took Fosamax for three months. At 2 1/2 months, I experienced muscle, jaw and joint pain to the point that I could barely walk. Up until then I was swimming 3 times/week, 45 minutes (nonstop) at a time. The onset was sudden and dramatic and happened after a swimming session when I was walking across the parking lot. My legs turned to jelly and I barely made it my car. Since then, I've had excruciating pain in my arms, hips, back and shoulders. It seems like every injury I've ever had was reignited. I was admitted to the hospital where they run multiple tests, but found nothing that was causing these symptoms, I've also had severe vertigo, though unsure if this is Fosamax-related.

So, was it determined that your symptoms were related to the Fosamax since nothing else was found that would be causing them?

Please check with your prescribing MD and find out if these are identified as side effects of Fosamax, or if something else is going on. It certainly sounds like medical expertise is needed.

Good luck to you and I hope you get some answers, and feel better!
