@cliffdweller There are several doctor & researcher presentations on OP drug sequencing. But they are not easy to find, even with searching. At least one person on this forum decided to self-pay for getting the right drug sequence rather than let insurance companies dictate her medical treatment. Now that generic teriparatide (brand Forteo) exists that is a possibility for more of us. But you are still talking about buying medications instead of remodeling your kitchen (her analogy that I really liked). It is the path that I will take if I loose that battle with insurers.
Here is my favorite presentation, but it is and aimed at other doctors and researchers so is very technical. Dr. Michael Lewiecki addresses the insurance company issues a little here also.
And here is an easier to understand presentation aimed at the rest of us:

I started osteoporosis drugs quite a while ago and they started me on alendronate/fosomax. I didn't know anything at that time. And, yes, I am hearing from others that insurance may be a prime driver in continuing this practice even though for most of us an anabolic would be preferred.
I absolutely hate that insurance companies are playing doctor. We women have powerful voices. Let's use them for this too!
