@franeteller I just lost mine as well! He was laid to rest this week! The day before my brother died! I am really trying to not say why did this happen to him and my spouse! I know the medical part! But.. two men that I adore!!! I will be at his celebration of life soon! I am beyond sad but grateful they both are not suffering! I still want my spouses arms around me and hear him say that he loves me! But that cannot happen as I well know! I just hope that one day they find a cure for this horrible disease that has taken three men out of my life! I wish you the best and just know that I get it and hugs are coming your way!🫂💕
@franeteller and @sillyblone, reading the two of you reaching out to one another is such a beautiful reminder of why conversations like this matter.
Six weeks is such a short time, Fran. What you said about the finality really touched me. Even when we know a death is coming, knowing something in our minds and experiencing the reality of that empty space are two very different things.
And @sillyblone, you are carrying the loss of your husband and your brother at the same time. I am so sorry. Yet even in the middle of your own tremendous grief, you reached over to comfort someone else. That says so much.
One thing I've learned through grief support is that sometimes we don't need someone to make things better—we need someone willing to sit with us in what hurts. Sometimes hearing "I get it" is enough for that moment.
For both of you, what is one small thing that is helping you get through today—not tomorrow or next month, just today?
Wrapping you both in prayers 💜

@franeteller Very sorry to hear about husband. I have found a grief group is helpful talking to others experiencing the same as you. I did one in person mixed group men and women, and currently I do one on-line for men. Wish you comfort on your grief journey. Stay well.
