@osteopatient2026 my doctor doesn’t even seem to want to look at anything else. She just wants to push certain kinds and that’s it even knowing that I have health issues that I cannot take them. I heard that I could go on. It’s an older medication. Called Miacalcin it is to maintain so do you take D3 and K2 how long before the calcium

Gently might have a recommendation …these are just our opinions based on our experiences and research…some here have done a lot…I don’t know if there are any actual doctors here…
My husband did go to medical school, (his sister is a doctor) started his internship but went on to do something else.

Also…the drug you mentioned is still in use in some places and has its use but newer drugs are usually first line…
Low Calcium Levels (Hypocalcemia). Calcitonin salmon can cause low calcium levels, which can be serious. Low calcium levels can cause a rare but dangerous heart rhythm problem called QT prolongation and torsade de pointes. Some people have a higher risk of this, including people who are older, have other people in their family who have had these conditions, have low potassium or magnesium, or who take some medicines for other heart rhythm problems. Stop using calcitonin salmon and call your health care provider if you have any of the following symptoms.

Can cause Cancer…
Calcitonin salmon may cause a new cancer to develop or cause a previously treated cancer to recur. Tell your health care provider about any new symptoms that you may get.
