I’d like to thank everyone for the kind and encouraging words. I am one month to the day post surgery. First week was tough but on the second week follow up I got the best pathology report I could hope for. I am walking 10 to 20k steps a day and that is doing the job albeit slowly. Patience, a virtue I have always found hard to embrace, is kind of a North Star for recuperation it seems. There are glimmers of progress for both the main side effects. The struggles with incontinence and ED are real but at least they are mostly invisible so I am able to move about in the world in a manor that seems normal. I am thankful the cancer we know about is gone. As far as what we don’t know…that’s what friends and family and communities like this one are for. Sunsets also.
Thanks again.

@ridersup, I always appreciate it when members return to follow-up how treatment went and how messages on this board helped.

Knowing what you now know, what do you wish you had known before surgery? What helped you manage the pre-surgery anxiety?
