Side Effects of Evenity?

Feeling very frustrated. I have had osteopenia for years. I had a total hysterectomy at age 30 with HRT until breast cancer 10 years ago. I can now only use the lowest dose ESTring. Also, I am hypothyroid. (I was hyperthyroid/Graves Disease until having a thyroid ablation.) I took Actonel for years. I have a long history of nasal and oral steroid use for sinus issues and asthma. Throughout this time, I have been diligent about taking calcium and exercising. Now I am 70 years of age and my last DEXA scan indicated that my right hip is now at -3.75. I consulted with a specialist who recommended Evenity. I usually have a good tolerance of medications and hoped for the best. I had my first and last shot in May. Unfortunately, I developed most of the named side effects within a week to 10 days. (Jaw pain, joint pain, headache, asthmatic cough, tingling, fatigue) So, the Doctor recommended Tymlos. After an initial denial, finally approved. BUT at a cost of $1,300 per month, I cannot afford. (Too much income to qualify for reduced rate.) Searching and researching options now.

@srk01 Try calling Radius (the manufacturer of Tymlos). They might be able to give you a discount.

You can contact Radius Support / Radius Assist directly at 1-866-896-5674 to discuss your specific financial and insurance situation and see which program you qualify for. I qualified
for one of their programs and found them very helpful, but it may also be related to who you talk to over there. If you do not get a positive response the first time, try again.

Good luck!
