Take alpha lipoic acid - buy at a nature food store 600 mg once a day - better if you can take on an empty stomach or if you cant that's okay too - I have the brand Source Naturals - it sure beats gabapentin or Lyrica. Good luck.

@gnocchi Agree with you on effectivness of R-ALA. I take 600 mg per day on empty stomach. I buy it from Nerve Renew. Also take 2 Gabapentin 300 mg per day. In this way, the situation can be managed and escalation avoided!
