@malambrit Here is what I have learned after a LONGF time with Bronchiectasis, Asthma, and many other conditions - Yes, there is a connection between gut health and my general health. But, is there a probiotic that is specific to lung health? NO - Please do not be mislead by any claims to the contrary - every one I have found is a thinly disguised ad or promotion for a specific product.

If you are on antibiotic regimen, a probiotic can be helpful in restoring the flora that those medications can destroy. My excellent pulmonologists recommend finding a couple of well-rated ones, buying them fresh (somewhere they turn over regularly) and alternating between some with different bacteria. When I was on the Big-3 I used Jarrow and another from my food co-op, where they turned over regularly. Now, if I need antibiotics (I had a long spell with a skin infection) I take Jarrow and another while on the meds and for another month.
Are you on antibiotic therapy?

@sueinmn I have been off of the Big Three since May
I have been taking probiotics throughout my treatment, currently I take Just Thrive. I have heard of Jarrow.

@sueinmn when I was in the hospital, I was referred to an infection control doctor. She highly recommended kifir, unflavored. It does take getting used to. I mix 2 oz. with my almond milk.
