@copyman Our healthcare system is actually pretty good, at least in Ontario — at my regional cancer centre, I've had a level of care comparable to what I read about here in the forum at the top centers of excellence in the U.S., including a patient hotline where I can talk to an oncology nurse any time during business hours, and the latest research and emerging treatments, all without a penny leaving my pocket.

But as far as doctors go, Canada sometimes has its duds, just like the U.S. And I know that the heathcare system in Quebec, where the OP lives, has been under a bit of strain due to a confrontational provincial government, with some of the best doctors leaving for other provinces simply because of the disrespect from the health ministry. 😟
