@drsuefowler Thank you for the update. Belly fat is the toughest area to work on. Maybe some yoga or isometrics. Like many others in our situation, I am afraid to engage in any exercise that puts stress on my spine, but exercise of some kind is likely the only way to rid ourselves of the belly fat. As for the estrogen, yesterday I conferred with my gyn who gave estrogen a bold thumbs down. She said is carries too much risk vs. reward. My endo feels the same. Both are smart, caring women but both practice conventional medicine. I know only a functional doctor will consider prescribing even a low dose estrogen patch.

@willowmena, Once I got on the estrogen patch prescribed by the functional Dr, surprisingly my other doctors were fine with it. Meanwhile the black box warning had been taken off vaginal estrogen. Now my endrocrinologist is prescribing the higher dose!
