Has anyone had steroid shots in their shoulders for PMR?

Yes, I had a steroid shot in one shoulder for PMR for pain that predisone wasn't helping (also one in a hip, same reason) and it completely helped the pain in both areas. It has been at least 4 months since I took the shots and no pain. Hope this helps you.

Are you still taking prednisone? And will your doctor administer additional shots if you need them? I have been doing physical therapy and massage therapy which helps for a few days. My doctor has never recommended x-rays of MRI. I have only had an x-ray and shot on my right shoulder when I started pt in May and it has helped with the back of my shoulder, just not the front. Thank you
