@rockpir Good question. During the winter my resting rate goes down to the mid-40s because it's cold and I'm sitting on my butt more. Does that mean I should limit my upper BPM threshold to 80? Hmm. I plan to ask my Dr., but for now all your feedback interests me.

@rockpir ....when you go from a low heart rate, that is consistently low, to a high sustained rate during exercise, that can strain the heart, resulting in a rapid increase in blood pressure. That circumstance, repeated over time, could possibly exacerbate the size an existing aneurysm or at least stess it unnecessarily.
