@centre Thank you for your reply. He comes back to the facility today. In 10 days he has not needed one PRN med as a rescue. With redirection skills he has been an easy patient in psyche.
Sad to say he is not returning to a place with the same level of skill.
I get all of it from the side of his Memory care, but it is the most expensive with the same use of agency and temporary staff and floats who are not trained in memory care. They market that their staff get two weeks of training.
It is on a computer.
So he is going back but I will be more involved and also I am going to tour and heavily interview other facilities.
This is a learning experience for everyone.
And yes, I have lots of guardian angels and support and feel God has a plan I’ve yet to understand but I’m open to the universe on this one.

I have a similar issue. My husband moved into MC and then a week later, was brought into the hospital and the psych group worked for 3 weeks to change his meds. The MC plane took him back but he now is so overmedicated that he can no longer feed himself or use the bathroom alone. A few days ago, he was so weak, he needed a wheelchair. I agree with looking for a new place for him. I think the staff is afraid he will "lose it" again and he doesn't get the same care.
