I just had Botox pyloris which I understand is a bit of a trial run to see if the actual myotomy (cutting of the pyloris) would work for you or if your gastroparesis is mainly due to other causes than a too tight pyloric valve. It is done while doing an EDG and they simply give you several Botox injections in the pyloris if it is tight and structured. This relaxes it allowing food to pass through to the small intestine much faster. Many people have great results and go one to the more permanent surgery. It has been 13 days since I had this done and I am not feeling much difference so unfortunately although my pyloris was structured, it seems I also have neurological and muscular weakness as well causing my problems so this is when gastric stimulation may be the answer.
