@ou14mejc : I appreciate your interest and sincere concern. I've worked with the doctor and endocrinologist to adjust the dosage and improve the side effects. I've also adjusted to the side effects and also learned it's best for me to take Tymlos at bedtime. A spinal fusion is not just any "back surgery". The neurosurgeon is working in an area that is the pathway to the brain. I trusted the neurosurgeon with my life when he operated on my spine. Tymlos is what the doctor and his team prescribed, and it has already reversed severe osteoporosis to osteopenia, so I'm good with that. Osteoporosis can't be totally reversed. As I improve and reach the end of Tymlos treatment, another drug will be prescribed to maintain bone health. What I think needs to change is for more people to understand about bone health because it's not just a female issue. Men also have bone loss. The other area for needed change is the cost of the medication.
