Is it a rectocele?

Im 76 and definitely have some prolapse going on. I don't know what has prolapsed & not looking forward to having a Doc tell me LOL. My uterus was removed (due to prolapse) 40 yrs ago, so it's not the uterus. BUT, I HAVE DISCOVERED something that seems to be firming things up down there = wild yam cream. I've only been using it 2 wks, and already my urination is smoother/faster and I'm feeling less crowded down there. I know there are meshes and tacking-up procedures, but at this age, I would rather try to endure. Surgery is not un-dangerous for those over 70, I hear. As for me, as long as my bathroom habits are operational, I will just DEAL. I hope you get some answers and pls publish them.

Do you have any type of bulging out of the vagina? My rectocele is to the point where it looks like a baby’s head is about to emerge. It is beginning to get painful but I can’t have surgery for another 6 weeks. Consider a pessary? I am not a candidate for using a pessary so surgery is the only option.
