@strongwoman You seem ready to embrace your surgery and steps toward healing. I think your name says it all. Now is the time to get organized and get all your laundry done. You won’t feel like doing chores after surgery and you shouldn’t, just rest. My husband brought meals to me and that was nice. He also set up a TV with a DVD player so I could watch shows from bed.
