The stroke like symptoms made people get me to the ER. The doctors were sure it was a stroke even though I kept trying to explain FND. Arg!
I was standing up, singing while working on a puzzle. All of a sudden my words would not come out, and my arms were frozen in mid-air…it only lasted for about 10 seconds but that was enough.
My speech is still a problem on occasion but not body freezes.

I haven't gone to the ER since my diagnosis. They actually wrote in my medical records that they thought I needed a psychiatrist in my last trip to ER...double Arg!
