I don’t think this is universally true. I’ve been on ADT for eight years. It has not really caused me any life issues. It did keep my PSA quite low for two years. I know people on it that it alone has kept their PSA low for many years.
At this time it is the best thing available to keep the PSA low. If used for 6 months or less it is hard to beat for keeping the PSA down, Preventing the cancer from growing and spreading and shrinking the prostate.
That’s a tall order for a replacement product, I haven’t seen one in trial yet.
