I grew up with the “make do” attitude as we never were flush with the bucks. The kids make fun of me today as I’m always saying I can use that don’t through it out. It makes a person innovative, I can fix pretty well anything around the house, never had to call a repair man except for the fridge. Self reliance is a goal we should strive for, however a helping hand is never refused.
