My friend is also having the SpaceOAR procedure done next week. Then is suppose to start radiation treatments in a couple of weeks. Trying to get him to introduce more protein into his diet. His sister has been taking him to the Dr and have not heard anything about exercise. I can’t imagine how at times how overwhelming this all can be. I wish you well with everything. If you feel like sharing on your journey look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Miggie, sorry I lost your post in all of the traffic on this thread. I'm not sure how close of a friend you are talking about, and how close you are to his sister. Proper nutrition and daily exercise, specifically resistance, impact loading as well as cardio exercises have proven to be very valuable tools for fighting not just the cancer, but the side effects of the treatments, some of which can be as brutal as the cancer itself. I would encourage you to encourage your friend, or his sister to come to this forum and read the posts from actual prostate cancer patients of all ages, some with new diagnoses like myself and others who have been fighting this disease for 16 years like @jeffmark all with many different grades of the same cancer, the different treatment options, their different journeys, outcomes, test scores, PSA levels, testosterone levels.... You get the picture, if you were my friend I would welcome your guidance to this forum.
