@bmaunder63 I never recovered full sensation below the ribs — there's both numbness and occasional neuropathy from the nerve damage the spinal lesion caused in 2021 — but at least I managed to walk again by training different muscles to fill in the gaps.

If we'd delayed the emergency spinal surgery a few more hours, I might have been permanently paraplegic (or dead).
