the program is only for people who have diabetes -- it is part of the UCLA Health Medicare Advantage Prestige Plan (HMO) --- Benefits for the chronically ill (must have one of the following chronic conditions Kidney Dialysis, Heart Failure, or Diabetes. The patient has to fill out a Health Risk Assessment. If you qualif, you get 13 weeks of meals (lunch/dinner) for 5 days a week. They help you build weekly meal plan supporting your chronic condition
and drop off groceries supporting the weekly meal plan. It was a great benefit for me as I retired 5 months ago & my wife & I used to pick-up fast-food on the way home from work. I've learned a lot from meal planning from this program and it was a great way to kick-off retirement ... I've lost 25 pounds during the 5 months. I aways thought a diabetic meal plan would be starvation ... but it isn't. Good luck to you. David

@davidyapp , sounds great! And congratulations on your success ! Sounds like a great program!

I have a Humana Supplement plan, so…..idk. I’ll check it out. I have type 1 diabetes. I’ve lost a lot of weight on my own with meal plans I developed and fine tuned with nutritionists at my endocrinologist’s office. I would love to participate in the program though. Thanks for the tip!
