OK - now inventing things that were supposedly said like this one : "... the idea that foods are the number one cause of cancer" and you throwing out invented data that would hopefully stick to the wall is childish and the statement that "some" people have crappy diet and live to be a 100 is the mildly said silly. Yes, SOME people that eat junk do live to be 100 and SOME people that eat brown rice die of cancer, the key is in a word "some"- we can rationalize our bad choices till the end of days.

If a bad quality chain store bought pizza with stale ingredients puts smile to your face and you are aware that it is not the best choice and still want it - what can be done about it - nothing ! It is your body and your life ! But discouraging people who come with questions about HEALTHY food and calling them unreasonable is absolutely out of line and even malicious - you are discouraging people to behave in responsible and healthy way. How is that OK ?

I never make fun of people who eat junk I never attack them personally. I give advice based on studies and what doctors told me and what nutritionists say in every single book or publication and I do that when somebody ASKS me about that. People who started this thread ASKED about healthy diet - they did not ask "What is Phill's opinion about me wanting to eat healthy" ? Now, people eating healthy causes you to start behaving like a toddler who can not get his send toys back and is kicking sand at other kids. You have full right to eat what you wish - I do not remember me calling a "food police" on you LMAO and them raiding your cupboard. ??? BUT please let people eat healthy food in peace LMAO

I am not perfect , I have my vices, but I would NEVER tell other people that it is OK to do it, I would never tell my friend with a serious heart issue to "go for it" - are you kidding me ???

@surftohealth88 There’s a lot to unpack there, Surf, but I am just going to agree that everyone has to do what feels right for them - no one else.
None of my statements meant to malign or cast shade on your opinions. However, I think you were the one calling certain ideas ‘ludicrous’ not me. You seem to have made this all about YOU, when most of my conversation was with mjp about HIS food choices - not yours.
We already know what you recommend, what you eat, what don’t eat, etc.
So please stop taking this personally, OK? I don’t remember who said it, but someone remarked that their pathology was very close to that of your husband; yet, his diet is NOT vegetarian, he eats eggs and cheese and drinks cow’s milk.
The irony of that situation is not lost on me and only reinforces my belief that this disease has a huge genetic component which will express itself no matter what you eat - or don’t.
Best Always
Phil
