Just FYI, Alpha Lipoic Acid was first described for neuropathy in a German paper so that is probably why it is more common in Europe. I tried it for a year but it made no difference in my tingling and numbness in my feet. But my condition was caused by a crushed L3 disc in an accident years ago. People with idiopathic (unknown cause) neuropathy may respond differently.

@crossette
I have neuropathy in my feet due to "silent" celiac disease. Even before getting this diagnosis I began using Windmill R-ALA supplement starting in winter 2025. I believe it has helped me. I am able to do physical activity and I have had no side effects due to it. My neurologist knows that I am taking this as well as other supplements to help dealing with this autoimmune disorder. But you should definitely speak to your physician--primary care or specialist before starting with it.
