It seems to me that the people who are caregivers for people with dementia need better information of what is likely to happen in the dementia process and perhaps would be better able to understand what seem like awful insults and dismissals. The people writing on this forum are suffering greatly, I understand, but maybe if they understood better that things said and done by the person with dementia are just symptoms of their disease not personal attacks. The similarities reported by caregivers is evidence that unpleasant behaviors are the norm unfortunately, not the exception.
