@dbgarrett7 Hi to everyone who has been posting about vitamin B6. I also developed some neurological symptoms, and numbness and tingling in one leg, and had just about given up on finding out what was going on, when a sympathetic physician ordered an extensive blood test.
Evrything else was normal, but my vitamin B6 level was 600 times normal! At the time the only
supplement I was taking was one multivitamin daily. Mr doctor pointed out that vitamin B6 occurs naturally in many foods, and is also added to common foods, so that the need for extra B6 in the diet of people in developed countries is pretty well non-existant. It is ironic that we try to improve our health by taking so-called "natural" supplements, but don't realize that they can become toxic if we take too much. I have a chronic illness, and read somewhere that papaya enzyme was helpful with symptoms. I ordered a jar of papaya enzyme tablets at considerable expense - my son took one look and said "Why don't you just buy some papaya from the supermarket and eat it?" I don't take any supplements any more, and ignore so-called "advice" on the internet from people peddling all sorts of "remedies" and "cures" without any medical testing to find out whether they are worthwhile. Save your money, eat a balanced diet, then supplements are unnecessary. @ellu

Hello @dbgarrett7, Welcome to Connect. That is great news. Hopefully all of the symptoms will eventually go away. I think I might still want to follow up with my primary care doctor later on to make sure the B6 levels are back in the normal range. Did you neurologist mention anything about maybe having follow up lab tests to check the levels later this year or next year?
