@surftohealth88 - I know I have an advantage in that I just walk out back for fresh game meat like quail and rabbit since I raise them, but any good local butcher should have access. Both proteins are becoming increasingly popular. Probably a little pricey to put on the menu as a staple if you're buying retail, but for an occasional treat, they certainly are available. Just need to find the right butcher.

OMG that quail looks so delicious !!!!! 😍 AND you say you just plop steak on a grill - look at this !!! Must be succulent and falling off the bones tender . : )))

The only option for me would be finding a good butcher which I was never able to find. It is even hard to find really fresh caught fish of all things and we live close to the ocean !!! The only place that used to sell it was closed during pandemic. It is easy for stores to sell fish that is not fresh since nobody actually here in the Bay Area knows how fresh fish looks like *sigh. When I see those sunken foggy eyes or pale gills and sticky skin my stomach turns ...
