@dab1127 Hello, My husband”s surgeon was adamant about him just taking small frequent meals every 2-3 hours with just a few bites of each item at first, then building up slowly as he tolerated. His surgeon also adjusted his Creon dosage to help when he had symptoms, less for snacks, more for meals. He lost a lot of weight at first. But that slow progression seemed to help him. He used Creon and took it with all his food. That was for around 3 months then he was able to taper off. For the first few months after surgery he barely ate but certain foods seemed to help him. Yogurt, ground low fat meats, and cooked vegetables, rice and pasta (no corn his favorite) just small portions. Make sure you check Creon web site there are good tips. It is a big recovery take it slowly and hang in there you will find what works for you, make sure to share your symptoms with the surgeon for their advice.
