I wasn't planning to see a spine surgeon. I have other issues similar to the pain of bursitis that is likely neither nerve related nor spine related. Did your primary care doc relieve your bursa sac pain?

@bajjerfan only temporarily with a steroid injection. They ran out after 5 years (3 years, then 1.5 years, then 6 months relief, then nothing). I needed my hip replaced! Then all bursa inflammation stopped! That's why I said I was misdiagnosed. My bursa problems were a result of my "gait" going out of whack because my hip "cushions" were deteriorating along with progressive arthritis (if I remember correctly). It doesn't take much to screw up your bursa sac as the mechanics of your hips are thrown out of whack! Try some shoe inserts and if you can ease the pain it points to your hip mechanics being the problem! (or your lumbar spine) or in my case BOTH! I had them all replaced between 2012 & 2018!
